Teacher on leave after alleged sexual harassment in classroom

Employees of any company generally expect that they will be provided a safe and professional work environment. A biology teacher claims that the school she teaches at failed to accomplish this; and as a result, the male students that she taught engaged in inappropriate acts toward her. She has recently sued the school for two years of reported sexual harassment that occurred in her classroom. Michigan residents who have suffered through a similar experience might find favorable results in a similar lawsuit.

Michigan teacher victim of wrongful discharge, reinstated

Aside from teaching, grading tests and mentoring the young minds of tomorrow, teachers sometimes have to face more unpleasant aspects of the job. When it comes to a physical altercation between students, some teachers may be placed in a bind concerning how and when to intervene. After a Michigan teacher broke apart a fight in her classroom, she was given what some believed to be a wrongful discharge for her actions.

School district, cleaners at odds over employment violations

Students might require more than knowledgeable teachers and a comprehensive curriculum in order to learn at the best of their ability. A clean and tidy environment may also help students stay focused on their assignments and other tasks while in school. However, some Michigan schools may no longer have their halls mopped or their trash bins emptied because of alleged employment violations with the school district's cleaning company.

Kellogg workers travel to Michigan due to employment problems

Workers who say that they have been spurned by Kellogg, their employer, are seeking a grant in the best interest of their children. Workers from another state recently traveled to Michigan in order to further their cause. The employment problems have been an ongoing issue since Oct. 2013, when workers were locked out of their place of employment.
