Biography
Fascinated by the ‘mind behind the mask', Attorney Adam S. Akeel has been an avid student of psychology since 2011. Understanding psychology gives Adam a unique advantage as a litigator.
In 2016, Adam joined Akeel & Valentine, PLC to fight for the greater good alongside his father, Shereef H. Akeel. Adam was featured in USA Today as one of the Most Influential Attorneys of 2024, an honor presented by The Lawyers of Distinction. He was also selected as the 2024 Litigator of the Year by The American Institute of Trial Lawyers, and a Top 40 under 40 Lawyer by The National Trial Lawyers.
Adam’s goal is to win on paper. He has a passion for research and writing and has authored hundreds of briefs on unique legal issues in State and Federal courts throughout the country—including the United States Supreme Court. This has resulted in many favorable outcomes against institutions, municipalities, and fortune 100 and 500 companies.
A deep legal thinker, Adam has an innate ability to digest and understand large bodies of case law relating to unique and complex legal issues. Recognized as an "Intellectually Curious Genius" during law school, Adam's professionalism, integrity, and creativity is seen in his writing, much of which is routinely adopted by State and Federal judges in the drafting of their judicial decisions.
Adam is also experienced in litigating class and collective actions throughout the country. He has served as counsel in multiple class actions brought under the Civil Rights Act and he is currently litigating RICO, Antitrust, and Consumer Protection class action lawsuits around the country against drug manufacturers (and others) for anticompetitive and fraudulent conduct.

In his down time, Adam likes to swim, spend time with family, and read books on psychology, philosophy, business, science and history.
